Emma Steinkraus makes paintings and installations that explore gender and ecology. Her work has been supported by residencies at MASS MoCA, the Blue Mountain Center, and the Wassaic Project, amongst others. She has participated in numerous exhibitions, including shows at 21C, the Williams College Museum of Art, and the Susquehanna Art Museum. She was recently awarded a 2020 Eliza Moore Fellowship for Artistic Excellence from the Oak Spring Garden Foundation, and a Helen Frankenthaler Fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center.
